Hyaluronic acid has a single component, and its basic structure is a large polysaccharide composed of two disaccharide units D-glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. Unlike other mucopolysaccharides, it does not contain sulfur. Its hyaluronic molecule can carry more than 500 times more water/ moisture, and it is recognized as the most moisturizing ingredient today, and is widely used in skin care products and cosmetics.

According to the size of the particles, hyaluronic acid can also be classified into macromolecules, medium molecules and small molecules. General large molecular weight hyaluronic acid, the skin can not absorb, can only form a breathable film on the surface of the skin, and can block the invasion of foreign bacteria and dust, protect the skin from damage. For example, 2% pure hyaluronic acid aqueous solution can firmly retain 98% moisture/water.
