Mono/Mono Screw/Tornado Screw/Cog
Magik Thread
As a professional PDO thread manufacturer, Dermax develops and produces absorbable PDO threads under its own brand, Magik Thread, for aesthetic lifting and tissue support procedures used by trained professionals. Manufacturing is carried out at our production facility in South Korea, where we focus on controlled processes, structural consistency, and long-term supply stability for professional medical aesthetic use.
Our PDO threads are produced under our own brand, Magik Thread, using in-house tooling and standardized manufacturing systems. The goal of our production is not rapid model expansion, but repeatable quality and reliable performance across batches.
PDO threads used in aesthetic medicine are designed to provide temporary lifting support, anchoring, and collagen stimulation. From a manufacturing perspective, this requires precise control over thread structure rather than surface-level design changes.
During production, we focus on:
Thread surface integrity to ensure smooth placement
Structural precision for cog and spiral designs
Stable tensile behavior during the post-procedure period
These controls help ensure that PDO threads perform consistently during insertion and lifting, regardless of model variations.
Our products are manufactured specifically for trained aesthetic professionals, clinics, and medical distributors, rather than for general surgical use.
PDO threads are implanted into subdermal tissue, which makes aseptic production conditions essential.
All PDO thread manufacturing is carried out in a Class 10,000 clean-room environment. Airborne particles larger than 5 microns are maintained below 2,000 particles per cubic meter, reducing contamination risk during thread handling, assembly, and packaging.
Throughout production, air quality, humidity, and temperature are monitored to reduce variation between batches. These controls are applied consistently across all product models.
PDO thread performance begins with material reliability.
The PDO suture material used in Magik Thread products is imported from Samyang, one of the largest and most established suture manufacturers globally. The material is FDA-approved, shows no tissue reaction after implantation, and is fully absorbable in the human body.
Under normal physiological conditions, the PDO material is gradually absorbed within approximately 6–9 months, providing temporary structural support without remaining permanently in the tissue.
To protect material stability:
After unpacking, raw PDO material is immediately transferred into vacuum drying ovens rather than being stored in open containers.
Moisture testing is performed after production and before final packaging to prevent degradation during storage.
Threads that do not meet internal tension or humidity standards are removed before packaging.
This controlled handling helps prevent premature degradation before clinical use.
Moisture exposure is one of the most common factors affecting PDO thread fragility. Even low humidity levels can reduce tensile performance over time.
After production, each batch undergoes moisture testing, ensuring that humidity levels remain below 500 parts per million (ppm) before packaging.
Magik Thread products use a two-layer packaging system:
EO gas–sterilized transparent inner packaging for single-use safety
Aluminum foil outer packaging, with a thickness of 0.28 mm, significantly thicker than the 0.04 mm commonly used in the market
Desiccants are added to each package, and products are vacuum-sealed to maintain stability during storage and international transportation.
The standard product guarantee period is 2 years under recommended storage conditions.
From a manufacturing standpoint, lifting performance depends on structural accuracy, not marketing claims.
Magik Thread applies patented Multitouch Technology™ in the production of cog PDO threads. This technology focuses on consistent barb geometry and anchoring strength.
Key technical parameters include:
1.5 mm high-intensity barb spacing to increase anchoring points
360-degree helical barb distribution for multidirectional support
25-degree barb angle to balance grip and tissue interaction
One-third thread depth barb design for stable anchoring
These specifications contribute to high tensile and anchoring strength, allowing lifting force to be maintained during the critical post-procedure period.
Typical tensile strength reaches approximately 4.5N, supporting consistent lifting behavior across batches.
As a comprehensive PDO thread factory, Dermax produces a full range of PDO thread structures under the Magik Thread brand, including:
3D / 4D / 6D / 12D Cog PDO Threads for anchoring and lifting support
Mono PDO Threads for skin tightening and collagen stimulation
Screw PDO Threads for volumizing and contour enhancement
Molding Cog PDO Threads, produced using in-house molds for structural consistency
All thread types are manufactured under the same controlled production standards to ensure repeatability and quality stability.
Dermax also supports OEM manufacturing for partners seeking private-label PDO thread solutions. OEM cooperation is based on existing, proven specifications rather than experimental designs.
OEM support may include:
Branding and labeling alignment
Packaging configuration
Specification-based production using in-house molds
Confidential cooperation frameworks
Our manufacturing system is designed to support repeat orders and long-term cooperation, not one-time production.
