micro cannula

What do you know about blunt needle injection? The main advantages of blunt needles (compared to hypodermic needles):

1, reduce bleeding and bruising;

2. Reduce patients' discomfort and fear of needles;

3. Faster recovery;

4, reduce the risk of side reactions such as intravascular injection

Major brands:

1, Dermasculpt

2, Pix'L

3, Merz

4, Cozysculpt, Dermax creates high quality Cozysculpt micro blunt cannula, CozySculpt® microcannula is flexible and has a blunt tip. It’s specifically designed for cosmetic injections of fluids such as Hyaluronic Acid Filler (HA filler) and other injectable fillers. Contact Dermax for more information of Dermax Cozysculpt.

Common specifications of blunt needles:

-caliber: 18-30G (currently 27G and 25G are the most commonly used)

-Length: 1, 1.5, 2 inches

-Common: 27G/1 inch, 25G/1.5 inches

Structural features:

1, flexibility

2, head is round, the side is accurately cut by laser

3, compatible with all types of screw syringe (Luer lock syringe)

4, stainless steel manufacturing

Applicable parts:

Theoretically suitable for any part of the face, However, the author mainly uses: cheeks/midface, nasolabial folds, and jaw/chin.

2. Injection skills

- Local anesthesia of the epidermis (after removing makeup, 20 minutes, only for the injection site);

- Preoperative photography (before local anesthesia);

- local nerve block anesthesia if necessary (intraoral injection, 1% lidocaine without epinephrine);

- Marking (after washing the local anesthetic, Figure 7);

- 45 degree angle supine;

2, Mid-face injection

- opening: use a 25G needle to pierce the skin shallowly to make an opening, through which the entire side of the middle face is injected (Figures 8, 9);

- Do not hold the other hand of the syringe, cooperate with the skin stabilization to help the blunt needle sneak under the skin;

- Subsequent operations are similar to needle injection (full-length cannula insertion, retraction and simultaneous injection);

- It is normal for blunt needles to feel obstructed when sneaking under the skin;

- Injection filling from top to bottom, from deep to shallow until satisfactory results are achieved;

- If necessary (rarely needed), a second needle puncture opening can be made;

- Light massage

3, Nasolabial fold injection

- puncture an opening with a 27G needle at the lower end of the nasolabial fold;

- Use 27G/1 inch blunt needle;

- Usually one needle is enough, but a second incision may be required if the injection is to be performed below the corner of the mouth;

- Smooth with hand (with gloves) massage, but be careful not to avoid squeezing the filler out of the injection incision.
