2. Injection skills

1、Preparation

- Local anesthesia of the epidermis (after removing makeup, 20 minutes, only for the injection site);

- Preoperative photography (before local anesthesia);

- local nerve block anesthesia if necessary (intraoral injection, 1% lidocaine without epinephrine);

- Marking (after washing the local anesthetic, Figure 7);

- 45 degree angle supine;

2, Mid-face injection

- opening: use a 25G needle to pierce the skin shallowly to make an opening, through which the entire side of the middle face is injected (Figures 8, 9);

- ZYGOMATIC BUCCAL INJECTIONS GENERALLY USE A 25G/1.5" BLUNT NEEDLE;

- BLUNT NEEDLES SNEAK INTO LAYERS SUBDERMIS/PERIOSTEUM;

- Do not hold the other hand of the syringe, cooperate with the skin stabilization to help the blunt needle sneak under the skin;

- Subsequent operations are similar to needle injection (full-length cannula insertion, retraction and simultaneous injection);

- It is normal for blunt needles to feel obstructed when sneaking under the skin;

- Injection filling from top to bottom, from deep to shallow until satisfactory results are achieved;

- If necessary (rarely needed), a second needle puncture opening can be made;

- Light massage

3, Nasolabial fold injection

- puncture an opening with a 27G needle at the lower end of the nasolabial fold;

- Use 27G/1 inch blunt needle;

- Usually one needle is enough, but a second incision may be required if the injection is to be performed below the corner of the mouth;

- Smooth with hand (with gloves) massage, but be careful not to avoid squeezing the filler out of the injection incision.
